This key role oversees a wide range of human resources, administrative, and business operations functions that support our television stations and employees. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, trustworthy, and highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values confidentiality, and enjoys helping teams succeed.
Located at the base of Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs offers stunning mountain views, more than 300 days of sunshine each year, and endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, making it one of the most desirable places in the country to live and work.
This position reports directly to the Vice President/General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee personnel and HR records.
- Administer employee onboarding, orientation, benefits, leave programs, employment verifications, and payroll processes.
- Ensure compliance with EEO requirements and reporting.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual FCC reporting.
- Manage workers' compensation and vehicle insurance claims.
- Prepare and submit operational and financial reports, including corporate credit card reporting.
- Process and oversee all accounts payable functions.
- Serve as a liaison between station leadership and corporate departments.
- Manage employee and vendor contracts.
- Oversee station fleet operations and fuel card administration.
- Organize employee meetings, events, and engagement activities.
- Purchase and maintain office and station supplies.
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings and contribute to operational planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous media industry experience is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Approachable, professional, and service-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Proactive problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to analyze situations, gather information, and develop practical solutions.
- Comfortable providing guidance, coaching, and direction when needed.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Starting at $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
