THE JOB
Cascades Amphitheater seeking an Ancillary Sales Supervisor. This is a seasonal, hourly position that works concert days only, focused on upselling amenities to concert guests. Job begins in April with trainings and concert season will conclude in October, with potential eligibility to return for full 2025 concert season.
The Ancillary Sales team is a fun and unique position inside our venue, focused on onsite sales. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for communicating to our guests about additional amenities that the venue has to offer, such as our Backyard Premium Lounge, Premier Parking, Seat Upgrades, Ticket Specials and Lawn Chair Rentals. This team will work closely with the Ancillary Manager and Box Office Manager to determine what offers will be available for each show, and how this will be communicated to our guests. It is the perfect position for someone who is detail oriented and enjoys working independently while still being part of a team.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Help staff at upsell stations with seat upgrade, and upsell merch options, solving technical errors and fan inquiries or complaints.
- Overseeing the day of show staff that is selling, distribute, collect and organizing of lawn chairs throughout the venue, resolving fan issues, reporting concerns to management.
- Assist Ancillary Manager in setting up and breaking down signs, tables and tents as needed.
- Participate in post-show pick-up/organization of Lawn Chairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assigning payment devices to staff and tracking reports get submitted at end of shift.
- Ensuring staff in allocated area getting breaks and rotating as needed per Management staffing plan.
- Help with staff training of various stations and onboarding process day of show.
- Ensuring staff have work uniforms, name tags, able to clock in/out, if issues report to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- Previous sales supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience upselling customers and training employees on sales techniques.
- Position requires constant walking, standing and occasional sitting in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions; Lifting/carrying 25+ pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment background check.
- Familiar with iPhone and iPad technology.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays, including late evenings.
