Job Overview
The Manager, Business Sales role at T-Mobile leads the hiring, training, and development of a high-performing sales team responsible for outside direct sales in a specific geographic area. Your inspirational leadership, high energy, and positive mindset is crucial to your team's success, as both your income and theirs depend on team productivity. You'll create and monitor sales plans to drive success against sales goals, ensuring your team of Account Executives excels. High expectations and a dynamic approach are key to thriving in this position. NOTE: Though listed as WA-Remote, the candidate for this role will need to live in the Seattle, WA to Portland, OR territory, preference to Seattle as this is a field sales manager role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Market share: Increase market share and achieve and exceed performance targets related to subscribers, revenue, and churn.
- Sales quota: Meet or exceed overall sales quota for your assigned region.
- Operational initiatives: Implement key operational initiatives in the field while maintaining high ethical and procedural standards.
- Sales meetings: Coordinate and run frequent sales meetings.
- Staff development: Interview, hire, train, and develop a staff of successful Account Executives; Conduct ongoing mentoring/coaching in the field.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
- 4-7 years Verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience within a commissioned environment (Preferred)
- 2 Years People management responsibilities (Preferred)
- 2 Years Telecommunications/technical sales (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Coaching Strong coaching skills with the ability to conduct difficult conversations. For example change management. (Required)
- Presentations Talent to confidently make presentations to large groups as well as one on one. (Required)
- Business Sales A proven track record of high yield business sales success. (Required)
- Negotiation Well-honed negotiating and closing skills, including communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving. (Required)
- Recruiting Familiarity with basic HR/Recruiting processes in order to attract and retain top sales talent. (Required)
