Which social media companies sponsor E-3 visas in Ohio?
Columbus-based employers in tech, retail, and healthcare sectors regularly file Labor Condition Applications for social media roles, making them the most active E-3 visa sponsors in Ohio. Marketing agencies concentrated in Columbus and Cincinnati also sponsor E-3 workers for social media positions. Checking DOL LCA disclosure data by employer and occupation code gives the clearest picture of which Ohio companies have active sponsorship history.
Which cities in Ohio have the most social media E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of social media E-3 sponsorship activity in Ohio, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, digital agencies, and a growing tech sector centered around the Short North and Arena District. Cleveland and Cincinnati also have active hiring markets, particularly within healthcare systems, regional media companies, and consumer brands that maintain in-house social media teams.
How do I find social media E-3 sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Ohio employers with verified E-3 LCA filing history in social media and related digital marketing occupations, so you can focus on companies that have already demonstrated sponsorship willingness. Searching by occupation code and location on Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have filed for social media managers, content strategists, and paid social specialists in Ohio rather than those open to sponsorship in theory only.
What types of social media roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field meet the specialty occupation standard for E-3 purposes. In social media, that includes social media manager, content strategist, digital marketing manager, and paid social specialist positions where a degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline is a genuine requirement. Generalist coordinator roles where any degree satisfies the requirement are less likely to qualify.
Are there state-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in Ohio's social media industry?
Ohio has no state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal E-3 rules, but employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the occupation and location. In Ohio, prevailing wage levels for social media and digital marketing roles are determined by the relevant Standard Occupational Classification code and the specific metro area, such as Columbus or Cleveland. Employers can verify applicable wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search tool.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 social media jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
