Which consumer goods companies in Ohio sponsor E-3 visas?
Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati is one of the most prominent consumer goods employers in Ohio with a history of sponsoring skilled international workers. Scotts Miracle-Gro, based in Marysville near Columbus, and Nestlé's U.S. operations also have Ohio-based roles. Larger multinational consumer goods companies are generally more likely to have established immigration sponsorship processes than smaller regional brands.
Which cities in Ohio have the most consumer goods E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Cincinnati is the leading city for consumer goods E-3 visa opportunities in Ohio, largely due to Procter & Gamble's global headquarters there. Columbus is the second-largest hub, with consumer, retail, and food manufacturing employers in the metro area. Cleveland also has a presence in food processing and consumer distribution, making it worth including in your search across the state.
What types of consumer goods roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Ohio?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In consumer goods, this typically includes brand management, marketing analytics, supply chain management, financial analysis, product development, and engineering roles. General warehouse, sales associate, or operational support positions that don't require a degree in a specific discipline generally do not qualify.
How do I find consumer goods E-3 sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles and filters jobs by visa type, industry, and state. Searching consumer goods roles in Ohio on Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have sponsored E-3 or similar work visas in the past, which significantly narrows your list to realistic targets rather than applying broadly across companies with no sponsorship track record.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for consumer goods E-3 sponsorship?
Ohio does not have state-level visa sponsorship requirements, so the standard federal E-3 process applies. One practical consideration is that Cincinnati's large concentration of consumer goods headquarters means some employers there have dedicated immigration support or external immigration counsel, which can simplify the sponsorship process. For roles outside major metros, it's worth confirming early whether the employer has prior sponsorship experience before investing time in the application process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 consumer goods jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
