Regional wealth management firms like Johnson Investment Counsel and Foster & Motley also sponsor visas for specialized roles. Columbus and Cleveland host the highest concentration of sponsoring employers in the state.
What visa types are most common for investment management roles in Ohio?
H-1B visas dominate investment management sponsorship in Ohio, particularly for roles requiring bachelor's degrees in finance, economics, or related fields. L-1 transfers are common for international banks with Ohio operations, while O-1 visas occasionally support senior portfolio managers or quantitative analysts with extraordinary achievements in asset management.
How to find investment management visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for investment management positions in Ohio that offer visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs by industry and sponsorship status, showing opportunities at banks, wealth management firms, and investment companies throughout Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and other Ohio financial centers with verified sponsorship histories.
Which Ohio cities have the most investment management sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio in investment management visa sponsorship opportunities, hosting headquarters for major banks and insurance companies. Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business and Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School provide talent pipelines for Ohio investment firms, often facilitating F-1 to H-1B transitions. Many employers recruit directly from these programs for analyst and associate positions, particularly valuing graduates with finance and quantitative backgrounds for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored investment management jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
