Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Checks for correct packaging boxes and containers.
- Ensures product date and weight are within established guidelines.
- Seals filled product packages and boxes.
- Examines containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging meet company specifications.
- Removes defective products or packages from the production line.
- Assembles product containers on an assembly line.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.
Job Specifications
- Production or assembly experience is preferred.
- English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
Working Conditions
- Refrigerated food manufacturing plant.
- The environment will be wet and cold with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F.
- Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities.
- Repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with items in excess of 20 lbs. is required.
- Requires walking and standing for long periods of time.
- Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
