Which staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas in Pennsylvania?
Several national staffing firms with a significant Pennsylvania presence have H-1B visa sponsorship histories, including Insight Global, Randstad, Staffmark, and Apex Group. Many of these companies operate delivery centers or regional headquarters in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Sponsorship decisions vary by role, client contract, and internal policy, so confirming directly with each employer during the hiring process is important.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia accounts for the largest share of staffing H-1B activity in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare systems like Jefferson Health and Penn Medicine, and technology employers. Pittsburgh is the second-largest market, with demand tied to its growing tech sector and university research institutions. Suburban markets in Montgomery and Chester counties also see consistent staffing activity.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B eligibility requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Within staffing, this commonly includes IT roles such as software developers, data analysts, and systems architects placed on client contracts, as well as clinical roles like registered nurses placed through healthcare staffing firms, and finance or accounting positions.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate lists staffing jobs in Pennsylvania that are open to H-1B visa sponsorship, making it possible to filter specifically by visa type and state rather than sorting through postings that don't address sponsorship at all. Searching within the staffing and recruiting category on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to firms with documented sponsorship activity in the Pennsylvania market.
Are there any state-specific considerations for H-1B staffing jobs in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania does not impose state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal H-1B rules, but staffing firms placing workers on client sites must ensure the Labor Condition Application reflects the correct prevailing wage for the worksite location, not just the firm's headquarters. For placements in Philadelphia, the LCA wage must reflect Philadelphia-area prevailing wage rates, which differ from rates in Pittsburgh or rural Pennsylvania counties.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
