Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Texas?
Texas-based and nationally operating investment management firms with a significant Texas presence, including asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds, and wealth management companies in Dallas and Houston, have filed H-1B1 Singapore Labor Condition Applications in past years. Reviewing DOL OFLC disclosure data by employer name and occupation code is the most direct way to identify which specific firms have active sponsorship history in investment management roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Dallas and Houston concentrate the majority of investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in Texas. Dallas is home to a dense cluster of asset managers, private equity firms, and financial services headquarters, while Houston's sponsorship activity tends to skew toward energy-sector investment funds and institutional asset management. Austin has a smaller but growing presence driven by fintech-adjacent investment firms expanding into the state.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that qualify generally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, economics, mathematics, or accounting. Common qualifying titles include portfolio analyst, investment research analyst, quantitative analyst, risk analyst, and fund accountant. Positions where the employer can demonstrate that the role requires specialized theoretical and practical knowledge, rather than general business skills, are most likely to meet the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation standard.
How do I find investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for investment management roles in Texas with H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history, drawing on DOL Labor Condition Application data to surface employers who have filed for this visa category in this industry. This is more targeted than a general job search because it surfaces firms with a documented record of H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in investment and asset management, rather than listing roles where sponsorship is unconfirmed.
Are there any Texas-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in investment management?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation structures at investment management firms and is worth factoring into offer evaluations. Industry-specific considerations include the prevalence of energy-sector fund roles in Houston, which may require understanding of commodity markets alongside traditional finance credentials. The H-1B1 Singapore category has no annual lottery, but employers must still file a certified LCA with DOL and demonstrate that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the occupation in the specific Texas metropolitan area.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore investment management jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
