Which consumer goods companies in Wisconsin sponsor work visas?
Major Wisconsin consumer goods employers sponsoring visas include Kraft Heinz (food products), Johnson Controls (building products), SC Johnson (household products), and Kimberly-Clark (personal care). Smaller companies like Organic Valley in La Farge and Festival Foods also sponsor for specialized roles in product development, marketing, and operations management.
How to find consumer goods visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international candidates with Wisconsin consumer goods employers offering visa sponsorship. Focus on Milwaukee and Madison metro areas where most headquarters are located. Target roles in product management, supply chain, and marketing where companies actively recruit international talent for specialized skills.
What visa types do Wisconsin consumer goods companies typically sponsor?
H-1B visas are most common for Wisconsin consumer goods roles, especially for product development, data analysis, and marketing positions. L-1 visas are frequent for multinational companies transferring employees to Wisconsin operations. TN visas work well for Canadian and Mexican professionals in management or engineering roles at food processing companies.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most consumer goods sponsorship opportunities?
Milwaukee leads with companies like Johnson Controls and Harley-Davidson, followed by Madison with Kraft Heinz and Epic Systems. Green Bay offers opportunities with Schneider National and packaging companies. Smaller cities like Racine (SC Johnson) and Neenah (Kimberly-Clark) also provide significant sponsorship opportunities despite their size.
What makes Wisconsin consumer goods sponsorship different from other states?
Wisconsin's consumer goods sector benefits from lower prevailing wages compared to coastal states, making sponsorship more cost-effective for employers. The state's strong University of Wisconsin system provides talent pipelines, and many companies value international perspectives for expanding into global markets, particularly in food products and outdoor recreation equipment.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consumer goods jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
