JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Objective: Maintain the plant equipment to optimize production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the plant preventive maintenance program.
- Function as hands on lead mechanic to trouble shoot and repair equipment.
- Supervise and lead the plant maintenance and production team of 5 to 8 employees.
- Oversee maintenance and production of the plant.
- Fix/repair equipment as needed.
- Perform basic electrical trouble shooting skills.
- Train plant personnel to perform basic maintenance and production related skills.
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance checks as required.
- Manage spare parts inventory, order parts as needed, and determine inventory and stock levels for spare parts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Advanced mechanical maintenance skills
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- Associates degree or technical training, preferred
- 5-10 years of maintenance experience required
- 3-5 years of supervisory or lead experience
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others
- Good communications skills.
- Basic electrical maintenance skills required, 480vAC/3/60 a plus.
- Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Self-starter who can succeed with limited supervision
- Detail oriented with proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a dusty environment.
