Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable, electrically skilled technician to support a large dairy operation. This role is primarily focused on electrical systems, with additional responsibilities in general maintenance, light plumbing, and basic HVAC support.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, troubleshooting, and keeping critical systems running in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across the operation
- Work with 480V and 240V systems, including panels, wiring, and equipment connections
- Support and maintain PLCs and control systems tied to dairy and facility operations
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Assist with new construction projects, including electrical setup and system installation
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability

Minor plumbing repairs and upkeep

Basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance

Respond to breakdowns and prioritize repairs to keep the operation running efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work closely with management and other team members to identify and address ongoing maintenance needs
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong background in electrical systems (primary requirement)
- Experience with 480V / 240V systems, electrical panels, and wiring
- Working knowledge of PLCs and automated control systems
- Experience with VFD installation and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Experience in agricultural, industrial, or dairy environments is a plus
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail
Other skills:
- Must be able to utilize the internet for pricing, comparing and research
- Must possess computer skills
- Must be able to physically move about the facility (sit, stand, walk, crouch, squat, climb)
- Must deal with hot/cold work areas well.
