SUMMARY
Primary duties include assembly of various products related to scales, sensors, and indicators. Assembly requires the ability to read a blueprint and use various hand tools or machines to complete the specific build task. Working as part of a team and assisting others is essential in reaching expected production goals and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads work orders to understand scope and details of assignments.
- Interprets basic blueprints and follows specific assembly instructions.
- Ensures work cell is stocked with parts and may replenish cell from stock area as needed.
- Sets up and operates a variety of production machines to fulfill duties, which could include soldering tool, microscope, drill, fill machine, part washer, sand blaster, magnet crane or other machines related to cable harness assembly.
- Performs assembly duties which could include soldering, snipping, crimping, clamping etc.
- May need to interpret megohmmeter and auto ranging microvolt meters.
- Follows test procedures as required.
- Checks for non-conforming material and completes required documentation.
- Cleans and packs product.
- Consults with Supervisor on questionable cases involving material, quality, or procedure matters.
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Specialized training in assembly, production, electronics is helpful
- Previous soldering experience is helpful.
- Must possess good manual dexterity for assembly duties.
- Possess good attention to detail.
- Possess good teamwork skills and positive attitude.
- Able to work independently without close supervision.
- Understands basic production and quality principles.
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS OPERATED OR WORKED FROM
- Soldering tool, wiring machine, pinning machine, cabling machine, snippers, crimper, other light hand tools, screw drivers, drills.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
May sit/stand for extended periods. Most positions require lifting of materials or tools used to complete assembly and some positions may require lifting up to 50lbs.
