Search Distribution & Wholesale Jobs in WisconsinDistribution & Wholesale STEM OPT Sponsorship Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin-based distribution and wholesale employers with documented STEM OPT hiring activity include Uline, headquartered in Pleasant Prairie, along with regional third-party logistics providers and wholesale distributors operating out of Milwaukee and Green Bay. Companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for supply chain and data analytics roles are generally the most active sponsors. Reviewing OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure data by employer name and job title helps identify which specific firms have filed for STEM-eligible positions in Wisconsin.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most distribution and wholesale F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee leads Wisconsin for distribution and wholesale F-1 STEM OPT opportunities, supported by its position as a major freight and logistics corridor on Lake Michigan. The Madison metro follows with demand from wholesale trade technology and operations firms tied to its business services sector. Green Bay and Kenosha also see activity, particularly from food distribution and consumer goods wholesalers. Pleasant Prairie, near the Illinois border, is notable specifically for Uline's large distribution campus, which regularly posts operations and analytics roles.
How do I find distribution and wholesale F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically by visa type and industry, so you can search for distribution and wholesale positions in Wisconsin that are open to F-1 STEM OPT candidates without reviewing hundreds of unqualified postings. Beyond Migrate Mate, reviewing OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure files filtered by Wisconsin employer and STEM degree classifications tied to logistics, supply chain management, and operations analysis helps identify companies actively filing for STEM-eligible roles in this sector.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship must fall under a STEM-designated Classification of Instructional Programs code tied to the student's degree. In distribution and wholesale, positions that commonly meet this requirement include supply chain analyst, logistics data analyst, operations research analyst, inventory optimization specialist, and warehouse systems engineer. General warehouse associate or non-analytical operations roles typically do not qualify, since STEM OPT requires a direct nexus between the STEM degree and the job duties performed.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in Wisconsin's distribution sector?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal F-1 STEM OPT rules, but the distribution and wholesale sector here has some industry-specific factors to consider. Many Wisconsin distributors are mid-size regional firms with smaller HR teams that may have less experience with STEM OPT compliance obligations, including E-Verify enrollment and the formal training plan requirement. Confirming that a prospective employer is already enrolled in E-Verify before accepting an offer is essential, since STEM OPT employers are required to participate in E-Verify as a condition of sponsorship.
