- Collaborate with software engineers, designers, product managers, end-users and other database team engineers
- Leverage critical thinking, experimentation, data, end-user feedback, and industry best practices to achieve desired business outcomes
- Develop and integrate high-quality database products that are secure, simple to use, easy to operate and fully integrated
- Manage all technical aspects related to the database product lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, security, CICD and documentation
- Contribute to database engineering and software development standards
- Enhance and simplify the database user experience for development teams
- Implement software engineering practices using tools that are both cloud-based and on-premises
- Oversee all technical aspects of the database product lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, security, CICD and documentation
- Create high-quality, secure, easy-to-use database products that enhance the development team's user experience
- Additional tasks may be assigned

- Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment and test-driven development
- Experience working with major cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS)
- Background working with infrastructure as code and GitOps methodologies
- Experience deploying, configuring, migrating, and supporting common stateful distributed systems, messaging, or database technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL
- Experience with CloudSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis
