About This Job
The legal intern operates as part of Axos’ in-house Legal Department, working in the main San Diego office. Must be a law student who has finished at least first year of law school. Should be interested in experiencing in-house legal work and environment and interested in banking, broker-dealer, or other financial industry services. This position assists corporate attorneys and Operations Manager with legal tasks and activities to support and protect the organization.
- Assist corporate legal attorneys in resolving various legal issues.
- Conduct legal tasks, such as research and drafting, under the supervision of corporate legal attorneys.
- Review and analysis of agreements with retail and commercial customers, including loan, banking, and brokerage agreements.
- Review and analysis of software and other vendor agreements used by Axos.
- Interact with outside counsel on litigation and regulatory proceedings.
