Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Nursing to provide executive leadership and direction for nursing services across the organization. This position is responsible for advancing nursing practice, clinical quality, patient safety, workforce development, and operational excellence while ensuring nursing services remain aligned with the mission, strategic priorities, and standards of Oklahoma City Indian Clinic.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Nursing will collaborate closely with executive leaders, medical providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies that strengthen patient care, improve clinical outcomes, support employee engagement, and ensure the organization is prepared to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the communities we serve.
The ideal candidate is a strong and collaborative leader with exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic management skills. This individual should thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, and possess a passion for developing teams and delivering high-quality care.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing leadership and directing nursing practice and clinical functions for the nursing staff
- Evaluating and maintaining high standards of care for all patients
- Managing patients' data and medical records as confidential records
- Communicating with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health
- Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff
- Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
- Participating in the operational planning and implementation of organizational strategic plans and ensuring overall operational performance
- Developing patient care programs and implementing effective ongoing programs to measure, assess, and improve the quality and outcomes of nursing care delivered to patients.
- Develop effective interdisciplinary relationships with medical staff to ensure ongoing quality improvement by providing leadership for patient safety, quality improvement, and service excellence
- Organizational ability to direct and motivate professional and non-professional staff in the performance of patient care
- Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, methods, and tools
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and the various details of the job
- Supports interdepartmental collaborations
- Prepares reports that describe the accomplishments, needs, and goals of the nursing staff and includes recommendations for change and/or for overcoming deficiencies

- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field
- Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Oklahoma and be in good standing with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
- Minimum 5 years of consistent full-time Registered Nursing experience
- Minimum 5 years in a Director of Nursing role
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and instruct others
- Strong clinical, leadership, and management skills, along with a high level of initiative and creative problem-solving
- Experience with LEAN, or green belt certification is a plus
