Warehouse Manager Jobs in Indiana

Desco Floor Systems (“Desco”, or “the Company”) is a fast paced commercial and industrial-focused seamless flooring installation contractor with nearly 30 years in the business. Desco is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations personnel, forklift operation, inventory management, and small engine maintenance. As Desco continues to grow, this role will be instrumental in ensuring efficiency and accountability as Desco seeks build the highest quality commercial install group in the United States.

This position will report to the General Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Oversee the ordering of materials in coordination with the Directors of Operations and Project Management
• Utilize warehouse management system and ERP (NetSuite) warehouse components to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and generate reports
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Coordinate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery of products
• Implement and maintain effective control measures for inventory, disposables, PPE, and tooling to minimize loss
• Manage outbound freight, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials
• Manage vehicle fleet, fleet maintenance, and DOT compliance
• Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse environment
• Oversee the small engine maintenance program, working with internal and external resources to ensure equipment is accounted for and properly maintained

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of five years previous experience in related field (warehouse supervisor, warehouse operations, supply chain manager)
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience operating a forklift, with ability to immediately obtain forklift operator license
• Maintenance program management experience a plus
• Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum
• Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, and crawling
• OSHA 30+ preferred
• Strong attention to detail

Expected Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift.
• Day shift, Monday thru Friday.
• Weekends and on call as needed.
