Description
The Warehouse Manager is essential in implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure proper management of the entire Warehouse. This position will lead all shipping, receiving, inventory management and warehouse procedures and duties as well as oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods. As Warehouse Manager, it is their responsibility to develop and implement strategic change, standard work, process control, and process validation to present shipping and receiving and inventory management systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory counts at all locations as well as a standard cycle count rotation
- Take part in year-end physical inventories and procedures
- Manage incoming raw inventories from the production floor returned to warehouse and communicate any changes or inaccuracies
- Monitor the production schedule for running and upcoming jobs and communicate if materials, packaging, or components are needed for the production run. Communicate to the Manufacturing Manager and Purchasing Dept with any material shortages
- Coordinate staging for incoming material, WIP, and finished goods and communicate to the shipping clerks
- Communicate with management team if jobs will be cut short due to lack of needed inventory
- Communicate with the Manufacturing Manager any information that needs relayed to the off shifts
- Coordinate regrind tracking and usage with the Manufacturing Manager
- Communicate with Quality Manager on any suspect material and help facilitate any vendor returns
- Supervise Shipping and Receiving Clerks
- Ensure all labels and product are easily accessible and accurate for inventory purposes (multiple times daily)
- Train all Shipping & Receiving Clerks in order to administer the above in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition according to company standards
- Report any safety issues immediately
- Drive Box Truck to local locations to deliver product. (Manual Transmission)
- Other duties and secondary functions as assigned

- Pass a medical exam to be certified to drive box truck (manual transmission)
