Wholesale Account Executive Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a wholesale account executive in Massachusetts?
Most Massachusetts employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though strong sales experience can sometimes substitute. There is no state-issued license specific to wholesale account executive roles in Massachusetts. Candidates typically enter through inside sales or account coordinator positions, build a portfolio of closed accounts, and advance by demonstrating consistent revenue growth. Industries such as healthcare distribution and financial products may require product-specific certifications from national industry associations rather than a Massachusetts board.
Which companies hire wholesale account executives in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring wholesale account executives in Massachusetts right now include Whoop, Clarks, and PUMA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Massachusetts's concentration of medical device, specialty food distribution, and financial services companies means hiring remains steady throughout the year rather than clustering in a single season.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most wholesale account executive jobs?
Boston, Needham, and Woburn have the most wholesale account executive openings in Massachusetts. Boston drives the largest share due to its density of corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and financial services firms, while Worcester and Waltham attract openings tied to manufacturing distribution and the Route 128 technology corridor where companies maintain regional sales offices serving New England accounts.
Are there remote wholesale account executive jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based roles, since wholesale account executives typically manage in-person client relationships and territory visits. About 100% of wholesale account executive openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with full remote positions appearing most often in technology hardware and software distribution where client meetings happen digitally. Field-facing roles in food service, industrial supply, and medical devices are almost always on-site or territory-based.
How can I get hired as a wholesale account executive in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role, which large Massachusetts distributors and device companies use as a training pipeline before promoting into account executive territory positions. Employers like Thermo Fisher Scientific and major Boston-area specialty distributors routinely post associate sales roles that do not require prior wholesale experience. A Salesforce certification or completion of a structured sales training program gives candidates a concrete edge, and candidates who target smaller regional distributors in Worcester or the Merrimack Valley often face less competition than those applying directly to Fortune 500 employers.
Where can I find and apply to wholesale account executive jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to wholesale account executive jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and target territory, and apply directly to each employer. No sign-up is required to see available positions.
