Account Executive Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account executive in Kentucky?
Most Kentucky employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some accept equivalent sales experience in lieu of a degree. Account executive roles in Kentucky do not require a state-issued license for most industries, but candidates pursuing roles in insurance sales must obtain a Kentucky Property and Casualty or Life and Health Producer License through the Kentucky Department of Insurance before selling. Building a record of quota attainment and familiarity with a CRM platform strengthens any application.
Which companies hire account executives in Kentucky?
Kentucky account executive roles are posted by CenterWell, Integrity Growth Management, and WM and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kentucky's concentration of large insurance, healthcare, and logistics headquarters means demand is particularly consistent for account executives who can sell complex or regulated products.
Which Kentucky cities have the most account executive jobs?
Louisville, Lexington, and Kentucky have the most account executive openings in Kentucky. Louisville drives the bulk of demand as the state's largest commercial hub and home to major insurance and healthcare employers, while Lexington's business-services sector and the Northern Kentucky corridor's proximity to Cincinnati multinationals account for the strong showing outside the largest metro.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 64% of account executive openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves phone, video, and email rather than in-person visits. Roles focused on software, SaaS, or national accounts tend to be the most remote-friendly, while territory-based positions covering Kentucky retail or local SMB accounts more often require regular in-state travel.
How can I get hired as a account executive in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at one of Kentucky's large insurance or healthcare technology employers, where structured training programs are common. Humana and Kindred Healthcare, for example, run rotational or associate programs that move new hires into account management after a defined ramp period. A Kentucky Property and Casualty or Life and Health Producer License signals seriousness and opens insurance-sector doors before you have a quota history. Adjacent roles in customer success, account coordination, or retail B2B sales also provide the documented revenue exposure that hiring managers look for.
Where can I find and apply to account executive jobs in Kentucky?
You can find and apply to account executive jobs in Kentucky on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kentucky openings. Search the roles that match your experience level and target industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
