Account Representative Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account representative in Oklahoma?
Most Oklahoma employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some accept equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Account representatives in Oklahoma do not need a state-issued license for most industries, but those selling insurance products must hold an active Oklahoma Property and Casualty or Life and Health license issued by the Oklahoma Insurance Department before starting client-facing work.
Which companies hire account representatives in Oklahoma?
Employers hiring account representatives in Oklahoma right now include State Farm, Paycom, and FMS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Energy, insurance, and healthcare companies anchor the largest share of account representative roles across the state.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most account representative jobs?
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Sand Springs are the Oklahoma cities with the most account representative openings. Oklahoma City leads because it is home to the state's largest corporate headquarters, regional insurance offices, and healthcare networks, while Tulsa's energy industry and Broken Arrow's manufacturing and distribution corridor generate strong demand for territory and client-facing roles.
Are there remote account representative jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, and they are more common than in many other fields, since account representative work often centers on phone, email, and virtual client contact. About 50% of account representative openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with inside sales and national account roles being the most frequently listed as fully remote positions.
How can I get hired as a account representative in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role, which large Oklahoma employers like insurance carriers and healthcare companies use as structured starting points for new account professionals. Pursuing an Oklahoma Insurance Department license in Property and Casualty or Life and Health gives candidates a concrete edge during hiring. Lateral moves from customer service, retail banking, or clinic scheduling roles at Oklahoma City or Tulsa area employers are also recognized stepping stones by local hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to account representative jobs in Oklahoma?
You can find and apply to account representative jobs in Oklahoma on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oklahoma openings updated regularly. Search the roles that match your experience level and industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
