Account Executive Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account executive in Oklahoma?
Most account executive roles in Oklahoma start with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, followed by entry-level sales or client-facing experience. Oklahoma does not require a state-issued license for the general account executive role, though positions in insurance sales require an Oklahoma Property and Casualty or Life and Health producer license through the Oklahoma Insurance Department. Building experience in industries prominent in Oklahoma, such as energy services, financial products, or technology, strengthens your candidacy considerably.
Which companies hire account executives in Oklahoma?
Employers hiring account executives in Oklahoma right now include AbbVie, Cisco-Eagle, and HUB International, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Oklahoma City and Tulsa anchor most of this hiring, with particularly strong activity from companies in energy services, financial technology, and regional insurance carriers headquartered in the state.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most account executive jobs?
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Oklahoma have the most account executive openings in Oklahoma. Oklahoma City drives the largest share of listings due to its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and a growing SaaS and technology sector, while Tulsa's mid-market manufacturing and energy base generates steady demand for industrial and enterprise account management roles.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, and more than most fields, since account executive work centers on communication, relationship management, and virtual sales processes that translate well to remote environments. About 90% of account executive openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting a broad industry shift toward flexible sales roles. National SaaS, media, and financial services companies recruiting Oklahoma-based talent are the most likely to offer fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a account executive in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or business development representative role at one of Oklahoma City's or Tulsa's growing technology or financial services companies, which regularly hire candidates without prior account executive experience. Employers such as Paycom and TTCU Federal Credit Union run structured new-hire training programs that build the skills needed to move into full account management. Earning an Oklahoma Insurance Department producer license in Property and Casualty or Life and Health also opens doors at regional carriers and agencies that hire candidates early and train them on the job.
