We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to serve as a financial partner to company leadership of $10M rotational molding company. This position is ideal for a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or experienced Controller seeking a smaller-company environment where they can make a direct impact.
The successful candidate will oversee the monthly financial close process, support inventory accounting, work closely with operations, and help leadership understand business performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly accounting close process in coordination with the holding company.
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP.
- Analyze monthly operating results and provide insights to company leadership.
- Partner with the President to review financial performance, trends, and profitability.
- Oversee inventory accounting and collaborate with operations to improve accuracy and controls.
- Support and provide leadership to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Develop and improve accounting procedures, reporting processes, and internal controls.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Coordinate annual audits and external reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary accounting resource for the business and liaison with the holding company.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
