Accounts Receivable Clerk Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a accounts receivable clerk in Colorado?
Most Colorado employers require at least an associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field, though some accept a high school diploma combined with relevant office experience. Colorado does not issue a state license for accounts receivable clerks, so hiring decisions focus on education, software proficiency, and demonstrated experience with billing cycles. Earning a certification such as the Certified Accounts Receivable Professional credential strengthens a Colorado application, particularly for roles within healthcare and government contracting.
Which companies hire accounts receivable clerks in Colorado?
Colorado accounts receivable clerk roles are posted by Dolby, Associa, and AIR Communities and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of large healthcare networks, aerospace firms, and energy companies means AR openings appear year-round across a wide range of industries in the state.
Which Colorado cities have the most accounts receivable clerk jobs?
Broomfield, Denver, and Greeley account for the largest share of accounts receivable clerk openings in Colorado. Denver drives the most volume as the state's commercial and healthcare hub, while Colorado Springs draws openings from defense contractors and regional hospital systems, and Aurora benefits from its proximity to major UCHealth and Children's Hospital Colorado campuses.
Are there remote accounts receivable clerk jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields, since accounts receivable work is largely desk-based and conducted through accounting software that operates equally well off-site. About 100% of accounts receivable clerk openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well-suited the role is to distributed work. Collections follow-up and cash application tasks are the sub-functions most commonly offered in fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a accounts receivable clerk in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a billing or accounts payable assistant role, which shares core skills with AR work and is widely posted by Colorado healthcare systems, property management companies, and staffing agencies. Employers like UCHealth and large Denver-area property managers regularly hire entry-level billing support staff and provide on-the-job training. Completing a community college accounting course through Front Range Community College or Denver Community College adds tangible credibility, and proficiency in QuickBooks or Excel measurably improves a candidate's chances.
Where can I find and apply to accounts receivable clerk jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to accounts receivable clerk jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings from employers hiring right now. Find the roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
