Talent Acquisition — Omaha, NE
Is this you?
You got into recruiting because you're good with people, but somewhere along the way the job became transactional. Take the order, post the role, fill the seat, repeat.
You want more than that. You want to actually find the right person — and work somewhere that values you for doing it well.
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll recruit skilled technical and trades talent for a 700+ person production operation — machine troubleshooters, maintenance techs, electricians, design and mechanical engineers, and production supervisors.
This isn't LinkedIn-only sourcing for one narrow niche. These roles demand creativity, and you'll have the freedom to go find talent wherever it lives.
You'll also partner closely with hiring managers — coaching them, asking the sharp questions, and influencing decisions as a trusted advisor rather than an order-taker. Here, the HR team is genuinely respected and relied on.
And if you've got ideas? Bring them. The team is actively looking for someone to sharpen their SOPs, test new tools and automation, and help the talent function keep evolving.
Where you'll be doing it
In Omaha, alongside three other recruiters on a team that shares the load and has each other's backs — across a large, multistate operation.

Acquisition Specialist Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a acquisition specialist in Nebraska?
Most Nebraska acquisition specialist roles require a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, public administration, or a closely related field. For federal or defense positions, familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation is expected, and many employers prefer candidates who hold or are pursuing a Certified Federal Contracts Manager credential through the National Contract Management Association. State agency procurement roles may require registration through the Nebraska State Purchasing Bureau's vendor and contractor processes.
Which companies hire acquisition specialists in Nebraska?
Nebraska acquisition specialist roles are posted by Liberty Core Consultants, Strobel Energy Group, and Kidwell and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's strong defense and federal presence, particularly around Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, means a significant share of openings come from government contractors and federal agencies with operations in the state.
Which Nebraska cities have the most acquisition specialist jobs?
Omaha, La Vista, and Clarks have the most acquisition specialist openings in Nebraska. Omaha leads because it is home to major federal installations and corporate headquarters, while Lincoln's concentration of state government agencies and the University of Nebraska system generates steady procurement demand, and smaller metros benefit from regional offices of defense contractors and health systems.
Are there remote acquisition specialist jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and the role is reasonably remote-friendly given its desk-based, documentation-heavy nature. About 50% of acquisition specialist openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader trends in procurement and contracting work. Contract review, vendor communications, and procurement analysis are the functions most commonly performed remotely, while site inspections or real estate acquisition work typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a acquisition specialist in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a purchasing assistant or contract administrator role, which large Nebraska employers like the University of Nebraska system and state agencies under the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services regularly post as starting points. Internships with the Nebraska State Purchasing Bureau or federal contracting offices near Offutt give candidates hands-on exposure. Completing an introductory contract management course through the National Contract Management Association and earning an associate certification strengthens any application from a candidate without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to acquisition specialist jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to acquisition specialist jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings across industries and hiring locations. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
