Sales Executive Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales executive in Nebraska?
Most Nebraska employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with a proven record of meeting sales targets. Nebraska does not require a general state sales license for most B2B or enterprise roles, though sales executives in insurance must obtain a Nebraska Department of Insurance producer license before soliciting clients. Starting in an inside sales or account manager role at a Nebraska company is the most common path to advancement.
How much do sales executives make in Nebraska?
Sales executives in Nebraska earn a median of about $126,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,410 for the lowest 10% to over $227,870 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales executives in Nebraska?
Companies currently hiring sales executives in Nebraska include ALLO Communications, Genesis Global, and AT&T, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's strong base of insurance carriers, agribusiness firms, and regional manufacturing companies means consistent sales hiring throughout the year across the state.
Which Nebraska cities have the most sales executive jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska have the most sales executive openings in Nebraska. Omaha drives the largest share of listings because it is home to major insurance carriers, financial institutions, and technology companies that maintain large outside sales organizations, while Lincoln's government and university-adjacent economy supports a steady volume of healthcare and software sales roles.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than many fields, since sales executive work is relationship-driven and often territory-based rather than tied to a physical workplace. About 42% of sales executive openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted toward virtual selling. Enterprise software and SaaS sales positions within Nebraska tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a sales executive in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or inside sales associate role, which Nebraska employers like Sandhills Global, Nelnet, and regional insurance agencies routinely use as a pipeline for promoting into executive-level positions. Earning a Nebraska Department of Insurance producer license while in an entry role signals commitment and directly expands your eligible employer pool. Lateral moves from account coordinator, customer success, or retail banking positions at Nebraska financial institutions also translate well into outside sales.
Where can I find and apply to sales executive jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to sales executive jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings updated regularly. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly through each listing.
