How do you become a account executive in Nebraska?
Most account executive roles in Nebraska require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers emphasize demonstrated sales results over a specific major. Candidates typically build their path through entry-level sales coordinator or business development representative roles at companies in Omaha or Lincoln before advancing to a full account executive title.
Which companies hire account executives in Nebraska?

Nebraska's technology, insurance, and agricultural sectors consistently generate the largest volume of account executive openings across the state.
Which Nebraska cities have the most account executive jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska have the most account executive openings in Nebraska. Omaha drives the largest share of postings as the state's commercial and financial center, home to several Fortune 500 headquarters, while Lincoln's concentration of government contractors, universities, and regional insurers supports steady demand, and Grand Island and Kearney draw openings from agricultural technology and manufacturing sales.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than many fields, since account executive work is primarily relationship-driven and communication-based rather than tied to a physical site. About 36% of account executive openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the flexibility employers in technology and insurance sales tend to offer. Enterprise software and SaaS sales roles within Nebraska-based companies show the highest concentration of fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a account executive in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a business development representative or sales development representative role, which large Omaha employers such as Mutual of Omaha and technology firms in the Aksarben Village corridor regularly use as a pipeline for account executive promotions. Internship and new-graduate sales programs at insurance carriers and agricultural technology companies across Nebraska also provide structured entry points. Building proficiency in a CRM platform and earning a certification in consultative selling strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
