We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia care team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.
Work-Life:
- Minimal call with a 45-minute response time
- Private call rooms available for those on call
- Wide variety of shifts: 8-10-12hr shifts to start with an opportunity to transition to longer shifts if desired.
- Wide variety of cases Ortho, Neuro, vascular, general, trauma, bariatric, plastics, thoracic, robots, cysto, OB, and small number of peds)
- Airway management for house wide codes and ED traumas
- We staff the endoscopy center (3 rooms), and surgery center (5 rooms) located across the street from the hospital
- OB CRNA team for epidurals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.
- Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care) in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients during procedures and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Working Conditions:
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training.
- Mix of 8-10-12hr shifts with opportunity to transition to longer shifts if desired.
- Minimal call.
- High degree of autonomy.
- Excellent shift premiums available for evening shifts.

- CME allowance of $1500 per year plus one-week paid education leave.
- $1,000 per year to cover professional memberships, AANA dues, subscriptions, Licensure and Certification.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current RN license and CRNA certification (NBCRNA).
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
- Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.

- Clinical Privileges
- State of Michigan RN License
- State Specialty Certification
- CRNA Certification
- ALS Certification
- BLS Certification
