BI Analyst Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a bi analyst in Arizona?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a bi analyst in Arizona. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in business analytics, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline, combined with demonstrated proficiency in tools like Power BI or Tableau and strong SQL skills. Earning a vendor certification from Microsoft or Tableau strengthens a candidacy, and many Arizona employers in healthcare or financial services value candidates who can show a portfolio of dashboards or analytical projects.
How much do BI analysts make in Arizona?
BI analysts in Arizona earn a median of about $107,240 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $65,200 for the lowest 10% to over $161,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire bi analysts in Arizona?
Employers hiring bi analysts in Arizona right now include Amazon, S R International, and CCMSI, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's deep concentration of financial services firms, health systems, and technology companies means consistent year-round demand across a range of industries and company sizes.
Which Arizona cities have the most bi analyst jobs?
Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale are the Arizona cities with the most bi analyst openings. Phoenix drives the bulk of demand as the state's corporate and healthcare headquarters hub, home to large financial institutions, health systems, and retail brands, while Scottsdale and Tempe contribute through their dense clusters of technology companies and financial services firms that rely heavily on reporting and analytics functions.
Are there remote bi analyst jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 55% of bi analyst openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits distributed work. The parts of the job most commonly done remotely are dashboard development, ad hoc reporting, and data model maintenance, while stakeholder discovery and cross-team data governance meetings tend to draw employers back toward in-office or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a bi analyst in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for junior or associate analyst roles at large Arizona employers like Banner Health, Freeport-McMoRan, or major Phoenix-area financial services companies, which regularly hire analysts at the associate level for reporting support work. Candidates coming from adjacent roles such as data entry analyst, reporting specialist, or business operations coordinator often transition in successfully. Building a portfolio of Power BI or Tableau dashboards using public datasets and earning a Microsoft Power BI or Tableau Desktop Specialist certification gives applicants a concrete edge when formal experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to bi analyst jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to bi analyst jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings from employers actively hiring. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly from the listing.
