Business Account Executive Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business account executive in Mississippi?
Most employers in Mississippi expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications as the starting point. The role carries no state-issued license in Mississippi, so hiring decisions turn on demonstrated sales performance and industry knowledge. Candidates coming out of Mississippi universities often move into associate or junior account roles at regional firms in Jackson or Gulfport, then advance to full account executive responsibilities after building a client portfolio.
How much do business account executives make in Mississippi?
Business account executives in Mississippi earn a median of about $48,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $31,620 for the lowest 10% to over $98,430 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business account executives in Mississippi?
Employers hiring business account executives in Mississippi right now include Optum, Adoration Health, and Toast, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mississippi's concentration in telecommunications, banking, and logistics means many openings sit with regional carriers, community banks, and supply-chain companies with deep roots in the state.
Which Mississippi cities have the most business account executive jobs?
Jackson, Mississippi, and Biloxi have the most business account executive openings in Mississippi. Jackson anchors the largest share of postings as the state capital and home to major financial services and healthcare employers, while Ridgeland and Gulfport draw additional demand from corporate office parks and the Gulf Coast's hospitality and logistics sectors.
Are there remote business account executive jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, and they are relatively common given that account executive work centers on phone, video, and email client contact rather than a fixed worksite. About 45% of business account executive openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the role. The positions most likely to be fully remote involve national or regional book-of-business management rather than locally assigned territory coverage.
How can I get hired as a business account executive in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development or inside-sales role at one of Mississippi's larger telecommunications or financial services firms, where structured ramp programs move candidates into full account executive seats within a year or two. C Spire and Regions Bank both run associate-level sales programs that recruit recent graduates from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Jackson State. Building proficiency in a CRM platform and completing a Salesforce certification strengthens any entry-level application noticeably.
Where can I find and apply to business account executive jobs in Mississippi?
You can find and apply to business account executive jobs in Mississippi on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings in the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and location, and apply directly to each position that fits.
