Business Analyst Manager Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst manager in Massachusetts?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field, followed by several years of hands-on business analysis work building toward a lead or supervisory role. Massachusetts employers, particularly in financial services and healthcare, value credentials such as the PMI Professional in Business Analysis or the Certified Business Analysis Professional alongside practical management experience. No state-issued license is required for this role in Massachusetts.
How much do business analyst managers make in Massachusetts?
Business analyst managers in Massachusetts earn a median of about $134,720 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $82,490 for the lowest 10% to over $216,940 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business analyst managers in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring business analyst managers in Massachusetts right now include MKS, State Street, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Massachusetts's density of financial institutions, hospital networks, and technology firms means hiring is distributed across industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most business analyst manager jobs?
Boston, Massachusetts, and Andover account for the most business analyst manager openings in Massachusetts. Boston and Cambridge drive the bulk of demand because of the concentration of major financial services firms, biotech companies, and academic medical centers headquartered there, while Worcester has grown as a secondary hub tied to its expanding healthcare and insurance employer base.
Are there remote business analyst manager jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields, because business analyst manager work is largely desk-based, data-driven, and deliverable-oriented. About 70% of business analyst manager openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed teams have become in the technology and financial services sectors. Strategic planning, requirements gathering, and reporting tasks tend to be the most remote-friendly parts of the role.
How can I get hired as a business analyst manager in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a junior or associate business analyst role at a large Massachusetts employer, where internal promotion paths to manager are well-established. Companies such as Fidelity Investments and Mass General Brigham run rotational analyst programs that move strong performers into lead responsibilities. Candidates transitioning from adjacent roles like project coordinator, data analyst, or operations analyst can accelerate the path by completing a PMI or IIBA certification, which Massachusetts hiring managers treat as a credible signal of formal readiness.
Where can I find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
