Business Development Analyst Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development analyst in Vermont?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field, followed by an entry-level analyst or sales operations role. Vermont does not require a state-issued license for this position. Many employers in Burlington and South Burlington prioritize candidates with experience in CRM systems and market research. Building familiarity with Vermont's dominant industries, particularly healthcare, clean energy, and financial services, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Which companies hire business development analysts in Vermont?
Companies currently hiring business development analysts in Vermont include CVS Health, GlobalFoundries, and Exyte, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's concentration of healthcare networks, financial institutions, and clean-tech firms means demand is relatively consistent across the Burlington metro year-round.
Which Vermont cities have the most business development analyst jobs?
Montpelier, Essex Junction, and Vermont have the most business development analyst openings in Vermont. Burlington drives the largest share of postings as the state's commercial center, home to anchor employers in healthcare, technology, and financial services, while South Burlington and Montpelier generate additional demand through state government agencies, insurance firms, and university-affiliated organizations.
Are there remote business development analyst jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business development analysis is a desk-based, analytical role well suited to remote work, and about 36% of business development analyst openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. The tasks most commonly performed remotely include market research, competitor analysis, and CRM reporting, while client-facing strategy sessions and partner meetings tend to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a business development analyst in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to analyst associate or business operations coordinator roles at larger Vermont employers such as UVM Health Network, National Life Group, or GlobalFoundries, which periodically bring on recent graduates for rotational or project-based positions. Candidates coming from adjacent roles in sales support, marketing coordination, or financial analysis have a strong footing. Earning a certification in data analysis or completing a CRM platform credential adds measurable differentiation when a formal business degree is the only academic background available.
