About the Role
Join the Go-to-Market team of a fast-scaling, Series A AI-powered procurement intelligence platform serving Europe's industrial sector. As a Senior Business Development Representative, you'll own the full prospecting pipeline, drive qualified opportunities for the sales team, and play a hands-on role in shaping the outbound motion as the company accelerates its growth across Europe. This is an on-site role based in Munich, Germany.
The platform leverages artificial intelligence to help industrial companies optimize purchasing conditions, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain efficiency — transforming procurement from a reactive function into a strategic business driver.
Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Excellent written and verbal German language proficiency is a hard requirement.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end prospecting pipeline — identifying, engaging, and converting new leads via phone, email, and social media.
Run discovery conversations to build qualified opportunities and hand them off effectively to the closing team.
Design, execute, and iterate on both outbound and inbound lead generation strategies.
Conduct independent market research to identify and prioritize B2B prospects in the industrial sector.
Develop and continuously refine persuasive sales materials, call scripts, and outreach templates.
Deliver internal training sessions and workshops, sharing best practices and playbooks with the broader sales team.
Leverage AI tools and experiment with new approaches to accelerate prospecting workflows and optimize efficiency.
Contribute to a high-velocity, feedback-driven sales culture with clear, measurable performance goals.
Deepen product, market, and customer knowledge to engage prospects with confidence and credibility.
What We're Looking For
Required
5+ years of experience in SaaS or B2B sales, including building and delivering prospecting pipelines and validating or closing leads.
Demonstrated ability to own outbound and inbound prospecting in a B2B SaaS environment (phone, email, social media).
Experience creating and refining call scripts and communication templates.
Experience organizing and delivering internal sales training sessions or workshops.
Ability to conduct independent market research and develop compelling sales materials and presentations.
Experience identifying opportunities to leverage AI to accelerate sales workflows — and a track record of sharing those approaches with a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (non-negotiable).
Ability and willingness to work on-site in Munich (non-negotiable).
Resilience, goal orientation, and comfort working toward challenging targets in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
Prior exposure to the industrial sector or procurement-related domains.
Previous startup or high-growth environment experience.
Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML tools and their application in sales processes.
Location
This is a fully on-site role based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Munich office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Business Development Jobs in San Francisco: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development job in San Francisco?
Focus your search on SoMa and Mission Bay, where technology and biotech companies cluster, and the Financial District, where fintech and enterprise software firms dominate. Roles here lean heavily toward partnership development, revenue growth, and strategic alliances, so candidates who can show pipeline ownership and cross-functional deal experience stand out. A network built through San Francisco tech meetups and industry events helps, since many roles are filled through referrals before they are posted publicly.
Which companies hire business developments in San Francisco?
Employers hiring business developments in San Francisco right now include Amazon Web Services, Visa, and Salesforce, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. San Francisco's market is dominated by high-growth technology companies, venture-backed startups, and established enterprise software firms with large partnership and strategic accounts teams.
Are there remote business development jobs in San Francisco?
Yes, though it depends on the role. Positions focused on outbound prospecting, partner strategy, and channel sales are frequently remote or hybrid, while roles requiring in-person client meetings or executive relationship management tend to stay on-site. About 76% of business development openings tied to San Francisco are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. Strategic alliance and enterprise partnership roles at San Francisco technology firms offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get a business development job in San Francisco with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in San Francisco is through a sales development representative or associate business development role at a SoMa or Mission Bay startup. Early-stage technology companies and Series A or Series B firms regularly hire people without direct business development experience if they can demonstrate strong research skills and initiative. Internships at San Francisco accelerators or corporate innovation labs also open doors, and moving laterally from account management or inside sales is common for candidates already working in the city.

San Francisco's concentration of technology headquarters, fintech scale-ups, and biotech campuses in Mission Bay creates consistent demand for professionals who can build partnerships and drive revenue across these high-growth sectors.
