About the Role
The Associate Project Manager & Business Analyst is an entry-level role on Delinea’s Global Operations team — built for an early-career analyst who loves turning data into decisions and wants to grow into a project leader. Reporting to the VP of Operation and partnering with Program and Project Managers across the business, you’ll sit at the intersection of analytics and execution: building the dashboards and models that show how the business is running and helping drive the projects that make it run better. You’ll work hands-on with data and AI tools, surface insight for leaders, and keep high-visibility operational programs on track. It’s a rare chance to apply real analytics skills from day one, put your work in front of senior leaders, and build a foundation for a career in operations, analytics, or program management at a fast-scaling cybersecurity company.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and models that turn operational data into clear insight for the team and senior leaders — using tools like Excel, Claude, or Power BI.
- Translate business questions and stakeholder requirements into analyses, dashboards, and recommendations — connecting data to decisions for executive teams.
- Pull, clean, and analyze data from multiple systems to spot trends, risks, and opportunities, and tell the story behind the numbers.
- Identify and build automations — using AI assistants, scripting, and modern tools — that eliminate manual work and compound the team’s productivity over time.
- Partner with Program and Project Managers to plan, track, and coordinate operational initiatives — owning project tasks, timelines, action logs, and status updates.
- Prepare materials and reporting for operating reviews — weekly status, steering committees, quarterly summits and leadership updates — ensuring the data is accurate and current.
- Coordinate meetings and operating cadences: scheduling, building agendas, capturing notes and decisions, and following up on action items to closure.
- Document and improve processes and workflows, helping the team standardize and scale how work gets done across a global organization.
What You’ll Need
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business analytics, data analytics, information systems, business, or a related field — recent and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 0–3 years of experience (including internships, co-ops, or graduate projects) in analytics, business analysis, project coordination, or operations.
- Hands-on experience working with data — comfort with Excel and at least one visualization tool such as Power BI.
- A knack for translating business needs into clear analysis, dashboards, and recommendations, and for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity about AI and automation, and an interest in using modern tools — including AI assistants and agentic workflows — to work smarter.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
- A self-starting, results-oriented attitude and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
We’d Love to See
- A master’s degree or specialized coursework in business or data analytics — for example machine learning, predictive and prescriptive analytics, process and supply-chain analytics, or simulation.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, SaaS, fintech, or other data-rich, fast-moving industries.
- Experience building data pipelines or dashboards or working with modern data-stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, or GitHub.
- A portfolio of analytics work — academic, internship, competition, or personal projects — in any domain you’re passionate about, from finance and fraud to sports analytics.
- Interest in AI engineering, process automation, or building tools that make teams faster.
Location
This role is open to candidates based in the United States, with flexibility for remote work and a preference for proximity to a Delinea hub. Occasional travel (approximately 5–10%) may be offered to connect with teammates, attend operating reviews, and see the business firsthand.

Tips for Your Business Operations Analyst Job Search
Quantify process improvements on your resume
Business operations analyst roles attract candidates who can show measurable impact. Replace vague bullets like 'improved workflows' with specifics: cycle time reduced, error rate dropped, or cost avoided. Recruiters scan for numbers that prove you moved the needle, not just that you participated.
Highlight your cross-functional collaboration experience
Operations analysts sit between finance, product, and engineering teams daily. Your resume should name the functions you partnered with and what you delivered together. Listing only solo tasks undersells how you actually work and what hiring managers need most from this role.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists business operations analyst openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by the tools you know
Job postings for this role vary widely in tool expectations, from SQL and Tableau to Salesforce and Excel macros. Target openings that name tools already on your resume first. You'll move faster through screening when your stack visibly matches what the team uses.
Prepare a structured case for your interview
Most business operations analyst interviews include a process or data problem to work through live. Practice articulating your diagnostic approach: how you'd identify the root cause, what data you'd pull, and how you'd prioritize fixes. Interviewers evaluate your reasoning method, not just your answer.
Negotiate using the full compensation picture
Offers for operations analyst roles often include performance bonuses tied to business metrics. Before negotiating base pay, ask how bonuses are calculated and what recent payouts looked like. Understanding variable comp lets you evaluate the total offer accurately and negotiate with the right numbers in front of you.
Business Operations Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most business operations analysts?
The companies hiring the most business operations analysts right now include CVS Health, Ryder System, and Google, with the largest share of openings in California, New York, and Texas, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand tends to be highest at large technology platforms, healthcare systems, and financial services firms running complex operational workflows.
How many business operations analyst jobs are remote?
About 35% of business operations analyst openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the data-centric nature of most responsibilities. Sub-areas like reporting, forecasting, and process documentation tend to be the most remote-friendly, while roles focused on supply chain coordination or facilities operations more often require on-site presence.
How do you become a business operations analyst?
Start with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, then build hands-on experience with data tools like SQL and Excel through coursework, internships, or entry-level analyst roles. Developing skills in process documentation and cross-functional project work strengthens your candidacy significantly. A certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a BI tool can help you stand out when moving into more senior positions.
Can you get a business operations analyst job without much experience?
Yes, entry-level business operations analyst roles exist and often value demonstrated analytical thinking over years of job history. Candidates with internship experience, academic projects involving data analysis, or transferable skills from adjacent roles like coordinator, financial analyst, or project associate positions can compete effectively. Showing proficiency in Excel, SQL, or a BI tool through a portfolio project or certification closes a lot of experience gaps.
What does the business operations analyst interview process look like?
The process typically starts with a recruiter screen focused on your background and tool experience, followed by a hiring manager conversation about your analytical approach and past projects. Most companies include a take-home or live case study where you diagnose an operational problem using provided data. Final rounds often involve cross-functional stakeholders from finance, product, or engineering who assess how well you'd collaborate across teams.
Where can I find and apply to business operations analyst jobs?
You can find and apply to business operations analyst jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to each one. There's no separate signup step before applying.
