Business Operations Analyst Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business operations analyst in Delaware?
Most business operations analyst roles in Delaware require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations management, or a related field, and the role carries no state-issued license or registration requirement. Employers in Delaware's financial services and pharmaceutical sectors often value certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional or a Six Sigma credential as differentiators. Building experience through internships with Wilmington-area corporate headquarters or state government agencies is a practical entry path.
How much do business operations analysts make in Delaware?
Business operations analysts in Delaware earn a median of about $95,040 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $56,970 for the lowest 10% to over $172,850 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business operations analysts in Delaware?
Employers hiring business operations analysts in Delaware right now include JPMorganChase, CVS Health, and QPS Holdings, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of corporate headquarters and financial services firms, particularly in the Wilmington corridor, means demand for operations analysts tends to be steady and varied.
Which Delaware cities have the most business operations analyst jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and Dover account for the largest share of business operations analyst openings in Delaware. Wilmington leads because of its dense cluster of financial institutions, corporate legal entities, and regional headquarters, while Newark benefits from proximity to the University of Delaware and a growing technology presence, and Dover draws demand from state government agencies and administrative operations.
Are there remote business operations analyst jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields, since business operations analysis is fundamentally desk and systems work that translates well to remote setups. About 51% of business operations analyst openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly corporate employers in the state have adopted flexible arrangements. Roles focused on data reporting, process documentation, and financial analysis tend to have the most remote availability.
How can I get hired as a business operations analyst in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for operations coordinator, business analyst associate, or data analyst roles at large Delaware employers such as JPMorgan Chase or DuPont, which run structured rotational and new-graduate programs designed for candidates without years of experience. Lateral moves from administrative, finance, or project coordinator positions within the same organization are also common. Earning a Six Sigma Green Belt or a business analysis certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge in Delaware's competitive corporate hiring environment.
