Business Operations Analyst Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business operations analyst in Florida?
Most Florida employers hire business operations analysts with a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, finance, or a related field. Florida has no state-issued license for this role, so the path focuses on education, certifications, and practical experience. Credentials like the Certified Business Analysis Professional or a Six Sigma Green Belt are widely valued across Florida industries, particularly in healthcare systems and financial services, and can strengthen an application significantly.
How much do business operations analysts make in Florida?
Business operations analysts in Florida earn a median of about $79,650 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,710 for the lowest 10% to over $150,090 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business operations analysts in Florida?
Employers hiring business operations analysts in Florida right now include Broward Health, Baptist Health South Florida, and Florida Blue (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida), based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of large healthcare networks, defense contractors, and financial services firms means analyst roles appear consistently across a broad set of well-established organizations.
Which Florida cities have the most business operations analyst jobs?
Miami, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale have the most business operations analyst openings in Florida. Miami's financial services sector and international trade activity, Tampa's growing technology and healthcare hub, and Orlando's hospitality operations and defense industry presence each generate steady demand for analysts with operations and data skills.
Are there remote business operations analyst jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, since business operations analysis is fundamentally desk-based and data-driven work. About 50% of business operations analyst openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the role's natural fit for distributed teams. Analytics, reporting, and process documentation functions are the most commonly offered in fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a business operations analyst in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to operations coordinator or business analyst associate roles at large Florida employers, including AdventHealth, the Florida Blue network, and Publix, which run structured rotational or new-graduate programs in operations functions. Lateral moves from roles like project coordinator, data associate, or administrative analyst are common stepping stones. Building a portfolio with a Six Sigma White Belt or a Google Data Analytics certificate gives candidates a concrete edge without requiring years of experience.
