At New Directions Northwest, not every important role involves providing direct counseling.
Our Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program at Powder River Correctional Facility helps individuals prepare for recovery and a successful transition back into their communities.
As our Administrative / Intake Specialist, you'll help keep the program organized, accurate, and moving forward.
Your work supports our counselors, treatment team, and the individuals participating in treatment.
You may work behind the scenes, but your contribution makes a real difference.
What You'll Do
Coordinate participant admissions, discharges, and intake paperwork.
Maintain accurate electronic records, charts, and program information.
Schedule treatment appointments and activities using Department of Corrections systems.
Communicate with treatment staff and DOC personnel to keep schedules on track.
Help coordinate aftercare appointments for individuals returning to their communities.
Organize participant graduation ceremonies and celebrate important recovery milestones.
Prepare reports, track program information, and support daily administrative operations.
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and security within a correctional facility.

A high school diploma or GED; additional education is a plus.
At least one year of administrative or clerical experience.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic records.

The ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established procedures.
The ability to pass required DOC background screening and security clearances and complete required facility training.
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or corrections is helpful, but not required.
