We are looking for a dynamic individual with the capacity to efficiently oversee multiple client accounting engagements while demonstrating proficiency in bookkeeping, reviewing general ledger, month and quarter end close, managing staff and conducting research. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the aptitude to foster professional growth among our staff. This position at EisnerAmper follows a hybrid working model and has offices available in La Jolla, California. Please note there will be travel to local La Jolla area clients for this position.

What Work You Will Be Responsible For:
- Client Accounting and Outsourced Accounting for High Net Worth Individuals (HNW) and their businesses, nonprofits, and endeavors.
- Bookkeeping, family office work, private business and trust accounting, QuickBooks work, and more
- Collaborate with other members of the Outsourced Accounting team on the month and quarter-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and month-end bank/General Ledger account reconciliations and generate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and tax basis accounting.
- Work on all aspects of critical accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll and other general ledger accounting duties
- Identify opportunities for and assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of process improvements and increased controls to support client's growing operation.
- Responsible for training, supervising and ongoing development of associates and seniors.
- Build impactful relationships with clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership.
- Support clients in-person on site with accounting consulting, data entry, and other accounting processes and procedures.
- Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines.
- Actively solicit new client relationships and participate in client/potential client seminars to expand networking opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting or public/industry mix
- Active CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification
PREFERRED/Desired QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in outsourced / contract accounting roles
- Comfortable running the month-end closing process and reviewing financials in QuickBooks for multiple clients.
- QuickBooks and Bill.com/Expensify skills preferred
- Experience onboarding new clients, performing assessments of existing accounting methods, and advising on next steps.
