Client Manager Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client manager in Rhode Island?
Most client manager roles in Rhode Island require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a closely related field. Rhode Island does not issue a state license specific to client management, but roles in financial services may require FINRA registrations such as the Series 6 or Series 63, which are coordinated through the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation. Building experience in sales support, customer success, or account coordination is the most common path into the role.
Which companies hire client managers in Rhode Island?
Employers hiring client managers in Rhode Island right now include Fidelity Investments, CVS Health, and Bierman Autism Centers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's concentration of insurance carriers, financial institutions, and healthcare organizations means client manager demand stays active throughout the year.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most client manager jobs?
Smithfield, Rhode Island, and Cranston account for the largest share of client manager openings in Rhode Island. Providence anchors the market as the state's commercial and financial center, while Warwick and Cranston attract openings tied to regional insurance headquarters, healthcare networks, and professional services firms that serve the broader Greater Providence area.
Are there remote client manager jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, and they're more common than in many fields. About 17% of client manager openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the role can be handled through calls, video meetings, and digital account management tools. Account strategy, reporting, and routine client communication are the tasks most often performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a client manager in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a customer service, sales support, or account coordinator role at one of Rhode Island's larger employers such as Amica Mutual or CVS Health, both of which hire for entry-level client-facing positions regularly. Moving into a junior account manager or client associate title from those roles is the standard progression. Completing a FINRA registration or earning a Certified Customer Success Manager credential can give candidates without experience a measurable advantage in Rhode Island's financial services and healthcare sectors.
Where can I find and apply to client manager jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to client manager jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Providence, Warwick, and other Rhode Island markets. Find roles that match your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
