Client Service Specialist Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client service specialist in Utah?
Most client service specialist roles in Utah require at least a high school diploma, though an associate or bachelor's degree strengthens your candidacy, particularly in financial services and healthcare. Utah does not impose a state-issued license specific to this title, but roles in financial services may require FINRA Series registrations, and healthcare-adjacent positions often expect familiarity with HIPAA protocols. Building experience through administrative, call center, or inside sales roles at Utah-based employers is the most common entry path.
Which companies hire client service specialists in Utah?
Companies currently hiring client service specialists in Utah include BambooHR, icapital, and Peak Kids, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Utah's concentration of fintech, health-tech, and enterprise software firms means demand is spread across both established corporate headquarters and fast-growing regional offices.
Which Utah cities have the most client service specialist jobs?
Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lehi post the most client service specialist openings in Utah. Salt Lake City drives the bulk of demand as the state's financial and healthcare hub, while Provo and Orem benefit from the Silicon Slopes technology corridor, and Ogden draws openings from logistics and healthcare organizations with large regional workforces in northern Utah.
Are there remote client service specialist jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 57% of client service specialist openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on phone, email, and CRM-based communication. Account management support and SaaS customer success roles are the most consistently remote, while benefits administration and healthcare-adjacent positions more often require on-site or hybrid schedules.
How can I get hired as a client service specialist in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for customer support associate or client coordinator roles at Utah's large financial services and technology employers, where structured onboarding programs exist for candidates without direct experience. Intermountain Health, Goldman Sachs' Salt Lake City operations, and Silicon Slopes software firms routinely hire entry-level service staff and train internally. Moving laterally from retail banking, administrative assistant, or inside sales positions is equally common. Earning a Salesforce Administrator credential or a basic FINRA Series 6 registration makes a candidate meaningfully more competitive at the application stage.
Where can I find and apply to client service specialist jobs in Utah?
