LEAPS Autism and Behavioral Services is seeking an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our leadership team as an Assistant Clinical Director. This role combines direct clinical services with hands-on leadership to support high-quality, individualized applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
The Assistant Clinical Director partners with clinical leadership to support daily clinical operations, mentor supervisors and technicians, strengthen treatment quality, and promote a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who values ethical care, staff development, family involvement, and meaningful client progress.
Responsibilities
Clinical Services and Treatment Oversight
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), skill assessments, and other behavior-analytic assessments within professional qualifications and scope of practice.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and behavior support plans based on assessment findings, client needs, and ongoing data.
- Provide protocol modification, caregiver training, and other authorized clinical services.
- Review client progress and help teams adjust interventions to promote practical skills, independence, communication, and generalization.
- Coordinate care with families, schools, and other providers to support consistent treatment across settings.
- Support thoughtful intake, case assignment, transitions, and discharge planning.
Clinical Leadership and Staff Development
- Partner with the Clinical Director and company leadership to oversee clinical service delivery and daily clinic operations.
- Mentor BCBAs, assistant behavior analysts, and behavior technicians within applicable credentialing and supervision requirements.
- Provide direct observation, modeling, performance feedback, and competency-based training.
- Support staff onboarding and ongoing professional development.
- Help teams maintain structured schedules, purposeful learning activities, organized treatment spaces, and appropriate client supervision.
- Promote clear communication, professional boundaries, accountability, and a collaborative team culture.
- Identify clinical concerns, respond to staff questions, and elevate issues requiring additional leadership support.
- Assist with performance evaluations and staff development plans.
Quality Assurance and Documentation
- Review assessments, treatment plans, session documentation, and progress reports for clinical quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
- Monitor service delivery against treatment plans, payer authorizations, and documentation requirements.
- Support compliance with BACB ethical requirements, applicable licensing standards, HIPAA, payer requirements, and company policies.
- Help teams implement individualized safety procedures and respond appropriately to behavioral incidents.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and leadership planning.
- Maintain an assigned clinical caseload while meeting established clinical and leadership expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.
- Active Washington State Licensed Behavior Analyst credential, or eligibility to obtain licensure before providing services requiring it.
- Experience providing ABA services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Experience conducting FBAs, developing individualized treatment plans, analyzing data, and providing caregiver training.
- Experience supervising and training behavior technicians.
