Responsibilities
- Manage software development projects from requirements and technical planning through implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Coordinate software development to ensure projects are appropriately scoped, prioritized, documented, and completed on schedule.
- Serve as a technical owner for company software platforms, including desktop applications, cloud-based web applications, databases, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.
- Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure, including application deployment, configuration, monitoring, security, and maintenance.
- Contribute directly to software development through new functionality, maintenance of existing applications, scripting, automation, and development of internal tools.
- Review software architecture, designs, code, and technical solutions developed by internal and external development teams.
- Organize, scope, and prioritize software feature backlogs in collaboration with Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Regulatory, and commercial stakeholders.
- Translate product, clinical, and business needs into clear software requirements and actionable technical development tasks.
- Diagnose software issues, investigate root causes, and implement or coordinate corrective solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve software performance, reliability, security, maintainability, and development processes.
- Develop and maintain software lifecycle documentation, including requirements, specifications, risk analyses, verification and validation documentation, and release records.
- Support software verification and validation activities for regulated medical device software.
- Participate in software risk management, cybersecurity, and FMEA activities.
- Communicate directly with customers, vendors, development partners, and other external stakeholders on technical topics as needed.
- Provide technical support for internal IT systems and assist with software, hardware, networking, and cloud-related issues.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.
