INTRODUCTION
Imagine what you could do here! The people here at Apple don’t just create products - they build the kind of wonder that’s revolutionized entire industries. It’s the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts. At Apple, inclusion is a shared responsibility, and we work together to foster a culture where everyone belongs and is inspired to do their best work.
Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things.
We're looking for a Contingent Workforce Strategy Lead to own and drive our contingent staffing vendor strategy. In this role, you'll build the capabilities, frameworks, and alignment needed to ensure our vendor strategy evolves alongside the broader transformation across ASO operations. With ASO undergoing a major transformation, the Workforce Strategy & Analytics (WSA) team is at the core of reshaping how and where we use vendor partners to support this evolution. You'll work closely with our Workforce Strategy Lead, who sets the overall workforce direction, as well as staffing partners, procurement, finance, and the central contingent workforce team, to keep our vendor strategy efficient, compliant, and built to flex.
DESCRIPTION
You'll own ASO's contingent staffing vendor strategy end to end, including performance management, scope and deliverable definition, and the ongoing evolution of the vendor landscape. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for staffing vendor partners, holding them accountable to performance while identifying when and how the vendor mix needs to change as the organization's work shifts. You'll own scope and statement of work (SOW) definition in partnership with the business, while procurement leads request for proposals (RFPs) and negotiates pricing and rate cards. Your vendor strategy work will align to the broader workforce direction set by our Workforce Strategy Lead, and you'll partner closely with them to ensure vendor decisions support the overall workforce plan. You'll also support the execution of strategic workforce and hiring decisions, with the opportunity to grow your responsibilities as the team evolves.

-
Proactively partner with operations leaders to present strategic vendor proposals, landscape recommendations, and tailored workforce solutions that anticipate business needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
7+ years managing strategic initiatives, programs, or operations with varying cross-functional partners, including significant experience stitching together teams to drive operational plans and workforce initiatives

Frame your credentials around specialty occupation standards
Apple's legal team files H-1B petitions under specialty occupation criteria, so your resume and degree documentation need to show a direct, field-specific connection between your academic background and the Strategy role you're targeting.
Target Apple's corporate strategy and M&A pipelines
Apple's Strategy function spans competitive intelligence, acquisitions, and long-range planning. Roles tied to hardware ecosystem development or services expansion tend to be recurring hires, giving you predictable windows to apply before annual H-1B cap season.
Align your application timing with Apple's fiscal calendar
Apple operates on a fiscal year ending in late September. Strategy headcount decisions often solidify in Q1 and Q2. Securing an offer by late January gives your employer time to file an H-1B petition before the April 1 cap-subject window opens.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Strategy roles by visa type
Filtering by visa type helps you focus only on roles where Apple has an active sponsorship track record for your category. Migrate Mate lets you search Strategy openings at Apple by the specific visa types supported, saving you from applying to roles that won't move forward.
Get your PERM documentation ready before final interviews
If you're targeting a Green Card pathway through Apple, PERM labor certification requires detailed documentation of your qualifications matching the role's minimum requirements exactly. Preparing transcripts, employment records, and foreign degree evaluations before an offer accelerates the process significantly.
Clarify visa type preference during the offer negotiation stage
Apple sponsors multiple visa categories for Strategy roles. Raise your visa category preference with the recruiter before signing, since switching categories after an offer is accepted can reset DOL or USCIS filing timelines and delay your start date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Strategys?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy roles. Apple participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery and also files cap-exempt petitions where eligible. Because Strategy positions require specialized analytical or business expertise tied to a specific degree field, they generally meet USCIS specialty occupation standards. Having your degree credentials and transcripts ready before an offer speeds up the petition process.
How do I apply for Strategy jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers portal at jobs.apple.com, where Strategy roles are listed under Corporate Functions or Business Development depending on the team. Migrate Mate also surfaces Apple's open Strategy positions filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Tailoring your application to highlight analytical frameworks and cross-functional experience relevant to hardware or services strategy improves your chances significantly.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Strategy roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa (for Chilean and Singaporean nationals), E-3 visa (for Australian citizens), and TN visas for Strategy positions, depending on your nationality and role classification. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Apple supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification. F-1 OPT and CPT are also accepted for eligible students in qualifying Strategy internship or full-time roles.
What qualifications does Apple expect for Strategy roles?
Apple's Strategy roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred for senior positions. Experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development at a technology or hardware company carries significant weight. Apple values candidates who can synthesize competitive data and translate it into actionable recommendations for hardware, services, or supply chain strategy decisions.
How do I plan my visa timeline when targeting a Strategy role at Apple?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, an offer should ideally be in place by February or March to allow Apple's immigration counsel time to prepare and submit your petition before the April 1 filing window. USCIS typically issues lottery selection notices within a few weeks of filing. E-3 and TN visas move faster and aren't subject to a cap, which makes them practical options for Australians and Canadian or Mexican nationals already in the process.
