Job Roles at Generac Power Systems Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Generac Power Systems Visa Sponsorship USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
Generac's sponsorship activity is concentrated in specialized engineering disciplines. Focus your application on roles in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering where the company has historically demonstrated the strongest need for sponsored talent.
Understand Generac's dual-pathway approach
Generac sponsors both H-1B and permanent residence pathways, meaning a role here can support your long-term immigration goals. When evaluating an offer, ask whether the position is eligible for Green Card sponsorship after the initial H-1B period.
Align your background with power and energy technology
Generac focuses on power generation, clean energy, and energy storage. Candidates whose experience touches grid technology, power electronics, or renewable energy systems are better positioned to justify sponsorship for a specialty occupation role.
Prepare for a manufacturing-sector hiring timeline
Manufacturing companies like Generac often have structured hiring cycles tied to product launches and fiscal planning. Engage with their talent acquisition team early and confirm sponsorship willingness before investing significant time in the process.
Look for roles at Generac's engineering and R&D centers
Sponsored positions at manufacturing firms typically sit in product development and engineering functions rather than operations or plant management. Prioritize roles in design, R&D, and systems engineering where a degree-specific specialty occupation argument is straightforward.
Use Migrate Mate to verify open sponsoring roles
Before applying directly, confirm Generac has active sponsored openings. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Generac roles that align with your visa situation.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Generac Power Systems sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Generac Power Systems sponsors H-1B visas, primarily for engineering and technical roles that qualify as specialty occupations. The company has a consistent track record of H-1B filings, making it a credible target for candidates in electrical, mechanical, and software engineering who need employer-sponsored work authorization.
What visa types does Generac Power Systems sponsor?
Generac sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and permanent residence through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. This dual-pathway approach means the company can support candidates at the initial work authorization stage and continue sponsorship toward permanent residency, which is a meaningful advantage for long-term career planning.
Which departments or roles at Generac Power Systems are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Generac is concentrated in engineering-heavy functions, including power electronics, software development, systems engineering, and product design. Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical discipline are the strongest candidates for H-1B classification. Operations and plant-floor roles are less commonly sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Generac Power Systems?
The most reliable approach is to search for Generac Power Systems on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history so you can see roles where the company has actively filed for work visas. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that sponsorship is unavailable for a specific position.
How do I approach the application process at Generac Power Systems as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Raise your visa situation early, ideally during the first recruiter conversation, rather than waiting until an offer is extended. Generac has experience with H-1B and Green Card processes, so a straightforward disclosure is better than a late surprise. Come prepared with your degree credentials, field of specialization, and any prior H-1B approval notices if applicable, as these simplify the specialty occupation assessment.
