Verify your nursing license transfers correctly
State nursing licensure requirements vary, and Genesis will expect an active RN license in the state where you'd be working. Start the endorsement process early, interstate license transfers through the Nurse Licensure Compact can take weeks.
Target Genesis roles with clear specialty alignment
Genesis staffs Nursing roles tied to occupational health and corporate wellness programs common in tech environments. Filtering your search by those functions improves your fit score and signals to recruiters you understand how Nursing operates inside a technology company.
Understand how the H-1B cap affects your timeline
H-1B sponsorship is subject to an annual cap with a lottery in March. If you're starting a new role at Genesis, your start date can't precede October 1. Build your job search timeline around that window to avoid gaps in work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Nursing roles at Genesis
Not all Genesis Nursing positions are posted on general job boards. Migrate Mate aggregates sponsorship-confirmed openings, so you can filter directly for Nursing roles at Genesis without manually screening each listing for visa eligibility.
Align your credentials to DOL prevailing wage requirements
Genesis must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL certifying it will pay the prevailing wage for your Nursing role and location. Knowing the wage level your qualifications support helps you evaluate whether an offer is structured to clear LCA requirements.

Find Nursing at Genesis JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Genesis sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Yes, Genesis sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Nursing roles. Sponsorship requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard, which Nursing typically satisfies given its degree and licensure requirements. Genesis also pursues permanent residence sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications for eligible Nursing staff.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Genesis?
You can browse current Nursing openings at Genesis through Migrate Mate, which surfaces sponsorship-confirmed roles so you can identify positions where visa support is available. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight clinical specialties relevant to occupational or corporate health settings, and confirm with the recruiter early that sponsorship is on the table for your specific role.
Which visa types does Genesis use for Nursing roles?
Genesis primarily sponsors H-1B visas for Nursing roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Genesis files under EB-2 or EB-3 classifications depending on the role's educational requirements. EB-3 is common for Registered Nurse positions where a bachelor's degree is the standard qualification.
What qualifications does Genesis expect for Nursing positions?
Genesis typically requires an active RN license in the applicable state, along with a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related clinical field. For roles in a technology company environment, experience in occupational health, corporate wellness, or clinic management is often preferred over acute care backgrounds. Specialty certifications strengthen your application.
How do I plan my timeline around Genesis visa sponsorship for a Nursing role?
If Genesis sponsors your H-1B, the earliest you can start in cap-subject cases is October 1 of that year, with the lottery registration occurring in March. Factor in several weeks for LCA certification with DOL before the H-1B petition can be filed with USCIS. For Green Card pathways, PERM labor certification alone typically takes 12 to 18 months, so beginning that conversation early in your tenure matters.
