Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Manager Jobs at Google Jobs
Align your credentials to Google's ops frameworks
Google's operations roles lean heavily on data-driven decision-making and process optimization at scale. Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or supply chain management signal the operational rigor Google expects before it commits to sponsorship.
Target roles with LCA filings already in progress
Google files Labor Condition Applications with DOL before extending offers to sponsored candidates. Roles posted with 'visa sponsorship available' language are further along in that internal approval chain, so prioritize those listings when applying.
Distinguish between H-1B1 and E-3 eligibility early
Google sponsors both H-1B1 for Singaporean and Chilean nationals and E-3 for Australians. These visas have no lottery and faster turnarounds than the standard H-1B, so identifying your eligibility upfront shapes how you discuss timelines with a recruiter.
Position cross-functional scope in your application
Google's operations managers routinely coordinate across engineering, legal, and vendor teams globally. Applications that demonstrate experience managing stakeholders across functions, not just within a single department, match the scope Google evaluates at the offer stage.
Clarify your status window before recruiter screening
Google's recruiting timelines for operations roles can run three to five months from application to offer. If you're on OPT or a visa with a shorter runway, calculate your USCIS processing buffer and raise it clearly in the first recruiter conversation, not after.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring roles
Finding operations roles where Google is actively sponsoring saves significant time. Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and employer sponsorship history, so you can focus applications on positions aligned with your specific visa category.

Find Operations Manager at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Operations Managers?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Operations Manager roles. The process requires Google's legal team to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submit an H-1B petition to USCIS on your behalf. Standard H-1B petitions are subject to the annual cap and lottery, so timing your application cycle with Google's internal sponsorship approvals is important.
Which visa types does Google use for Operations Manager sponsorship?
Google sponsors Operations Managers under H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas depending on your nationality. H-1B1 is available to Singaporean and Chilean nationals, while E-3 is exclusive to Australian citizens. Both skip the H-1B lottery and have faster USCIS processing windows, which makes them strategically useful if you qualify.
What qualifications does Google expect for a sponsored Operations Manager?
Google typically expects a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain, or business. Relevant work experience managing large-scale programs or vendor relationships is weighted heavily. For visa eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which generally requires that a specific degree is a normal requirement for the position.
How do I apply for Operations Manager jobs at Google?
You can search and apply through Google's careers portal, filtering by job function and location. To find roles where sponsorship is confirmed or likely, use Migrate Mate, which aggregates Google's Operations Manager listings and filters by visa type. Applying through a targeted list of sponsorship-verified roles saves time and avoids positions where sponsorship isn't available.
How do I plan my timeline around Google's sponsorship process?
From initial application to an H-1B start date, the process can span six months or longer when you account for recruiting, offer, LCA filing with DOL, and USCIS petition processing. If you're on OPT with a limited runway, flag your status in early recruiter conversations. Premium processing through USCIS can reduce adjudication time significantly if timing is tight.
