Align your credentials to Google's expectations
Google's Project Analyst roles typically require demonstrated analytical skills tied to a specific field, like business operations, data science, or engineering. Before applying, verify your degree field directly supports the specialty occupation standard USCIS uses to evaluate H-1B petitions.
Target roles in Google's highest-hiring teams
Project Analyst openings at Google cluster heavily in product operations, cloud, and go-to-market functions. Filtering your search by these business units improves your odds of landing on a team with an active headcount and a sponsor-ready hiring manager.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Analyst openings at Google by visa type so you're only reviewing roles where sponsorship is already confirmed. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to jobs where sponsorship isn't on the table.
Ask about LCA filing timing before accepting
Before signing an offer, confirm when Google's legal team plans to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL. LCA certification must happen before the I-129 petition, and delays at this stage can push your start date further than expected.
Prepare for Google's structured interview format
Google uses a structured, criteria-based hiring process for Project Analyst roles. Interviewers assess case-based problem solving and cross-functional communication directly, so preparing concrete examples of project scoping, stakeholder alignment, and data-driven decisions is more effective than general preparation.

Find Project Analyst at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Project Analysts?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Project Analyst roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards because it requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business analytics, information systems, or engineering. Google's immigration legal team manages the petition process, including the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL prior to the I-129 submission.
How do I apply for Project Analyst jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal at careers.google.com. For international candidates, the most practical starting point is filtering for roles explicitly listing visa sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate aggregates Project Analyst openings at Google with sponsorship details surfaced upfront, so you can confirm eligibility before investing time in the application process.
Which visa types does Google commonly use for Project Analyst roles?
Google files H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Project Analyst positions. H-1B is the most common and applies to most nationalities, but it requires winning the annual lottery. H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and E-3 is exclusive to Australian citizens. Both H-1B1 and E-3 are cap-exempt, meaning no lottery is required.
What qualifications does Google expect for Project Analyst roles?
Google's Project Analyst positions typically require a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field, strong proficiency with data tools like SQL or Google Sheets, and experience managing cross-functional projects. Roles supporting engineering or cloud teams often expect familiarity with technical workflows. Prior internship or industry experience in an analytical function is a consistent expectation across most postings.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline after receiving an offer?
After accepting an offer, Google's immigration team typically initiates the Labor Condition Application with DOL, which must be certified before the I-129 petition is filed with USCIS. Standard H-1B processing takes several months, though premium processing is available for a faster decision. E-3 and H-1B1 petitions generally move faster given the absence of a lottery backlog. Build at least three to four months of runway between your offer acceptance and your expected start date.
