Align your credentials to distribution operations
HD Supply's Project Program Managers work on supply chain infrastructure, warehouse systems, and vendor programs. Frame your resume around logistics-adjacent project delivery, inventory management implementations, or distribution center rollouts to match their actual hiring criteria.
Target roles with enterprise system scope
Positions involving ERP implementations, procurement platform migrations, or cross-site operational programs at HD Supply tend to meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B eligibility. Roles scoped to a single warehouse or administrative function carry more petition risk.
Confirm sponsorship before investing in interviews
HD Supply sponsors multiple visa categories, but not every open Project Program Manager requisition will include sponsorship. Ask the recruiter directly during the first screening call whether the specific role is approved for sponsorship before completing multi-round interviews.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Not every job board surfaces which HD Supply postings are sponsorship-eligible. Migrate Mate lets you filter Project Program Manager roles specifically flagged for visa sponsorship, saving time you'd otherwise spend screening postings that won't support your status.
Negotiate offer timing around H-1B cap deadlines
If you're cap-subject, your employer must file with USCIS by the April 1 window for an October 1 start. When negotiating your offer at HD Supply, confirm the intended start date accounts for petition preparation time, which typically requires the LCA to be certified by DOL at least a few weeks prior.
Document cross-functional project scope for PERM readiness
If you're pursuing a Green Card through HD Supply after joining, the PERM labor certification process requires your job duties to reflect a genuinely specialized role. Keep records of cross-functional project ownership, vendor negotiations, and system-level decisions that distinguish your scope from a generalist coordinator.

Does HD Supply sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, HD Supply has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The key requirement is that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles tied to enterprise systems, supply chain strategy, or large-scale operational programs at HD Supply tend to meet that threshold more consistently than narrower administrative positions.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at HD Supply?
Applications go through HD Supply's careers portal. Search for Project Program Manager openings and filter by location, since these roles appear across their distribution and corporate operations footprint. Before applying, confirm the posting includes visa sponsorship language or contact the recruiter early in the process. Migrate Mate also surfaces HD Supply Project Program Manager openings filtered specifically for sponsorship-eligible positions, which speeds up your search.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at HD Supply?
HD Supply has sponsored H-1B visas as the primary work visa for professional roles in this function. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, making HD Supply accessible for recent graduates in the hiring pipeline before pursuing an H-1B. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. For longer-term sponsorship, HD Supply has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification.
What qualifications does HD Supply expect for Project Program Manager positions?
HD Supply typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field, combined with demonstrated program management experience in a distribution, wholesale, or industrial environment. PMP certification strengthens your profile. Experience managing cross-functional projects involving procurement systems, vendor operations, or warehouse technology is particularly relevant given HD Supply's core business.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take when joining HD Supply?
If you're cap-subject, the earliest you can start work is October 1, with USCIS requiring the petition to be filed by April 1 of that year. HD Supply and their legal team typically need several weeks before that deadline to complete the DOL Labor Condition Application. Standard USCIS processing runs three to five months. Premium processing, which costs an additional government fee, reduces the adjudication window to roughly 15 business days.
