Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Field Engineer Jobs at Molex Jobs
Tailor your resume to Molex's engineering context
Molex Field Engineers work directly with clients on connector and interconnect system integration. Highlight hands-on experience with electrical systems, customer site support, or technical troubleshooting rather than generic engineering project work.
Target roles that match your degree field precisely
H-1B approval for Field Engineer roles depends on demonstrating a direct tie between your degree and the position. Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer engineering degrees map most cleanly to Molex's Field Engineer job descriptions.
Ask about LCA filing timing during offer negotiation
Your start date depends on DOL certifying the Labor Condition Application before USCIS receives the H-1B petition. Raise this timeline with the recruiter early so your offer letter reflects a realistic start date, not one that assumes immediate approval.
Find open Field Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Molex posts Field Engineer openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship so you're not wasting applications on positions that won't support your work authorization needs.
Prepare documentation showing field-deployable technical credentials
Molex Field Engineers are often expected to travel to customer sites and support installations. Gather certifications, any customer-facing project records, or references that demonstrate you can operate independently in technical field environments.

Find Field Engineer at Molex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Field Engineers?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Field Engineer roles. The process requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submit an H-1B petition to USCIS. Because Field Engineer positions involve specialized technical work tied to a specific degree field, they generally meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS uses to evaluate H-1B eligibility.
How do I apply for Field Engineer jobs at Molex?
Applications go through Molex's careers portal. You can also browse open Field Engineer positions at Molex that include visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by sponsorship type so you can confirm the role supports your visa category before applying. Tailor your application to emphasize client-facing technical work and any hands-on connectivity or systems integration experience.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Field Engineer roles?
Molex supports a range of visa categories for Field Engineers, including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles under the USMCA. F-1 students on OPT can begin working before H-1B sponsorship is initiated, which makes the OPT-to-H-1B transition a common path at Molex for recent graduates.
What qualifications does Molex expect for Field Engineer roles?
Molex Field Engineers typically need a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline. Practical experience with connector systems, electrical design, or on-site customer support strengthens your application significantly. Roles often require willingness to travel to customer locations, so demonstrating field deployment experience or client-facing technical work is an advantage.
How do I plan my timeline if Molex is sponsoring my H-1B?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS only accepts petitions in April for an October 1 start date, so timing your offer around that window matters. If you're already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT, your OPT work authorization can bridge the gap. Confirm with your Molex recruiter whether the role qualifies for cap-exempt filing, which would allow a faster and more flexible start date.
